WTA Hobart: Former Australian Open champ Kenin into last eight
The American will face the winner of the match between Australian wildcard Maya Joint and Pole Magda Linette, the No 4 seed, in the next round

Former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin defeated Russian Anna Blinkova 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Hobart International on Wednesday.
Kenin, ranked No 81, will play the winner of the match between Australian wildcard Maya Joint and Pole Magda Linette, the No 4 seed, next at the Hobart ’s Domain Tennis Centre.
Ahead of her win today, the American won against Kiwi Lulu Sun, the No 5 seed (4-6, 6-3, 6-3).
Blinkova, ranked No 75, won against American Bernarda Pera (7-5, 6-4) in the previous round of the tournament.
