American Sebastian Korda reached the quarter-finals of the Adelaide International 1 by beating Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 6-4 at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Thursday.
Korda, ranked No 33, will face the winner of the match between Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 6 seed, and Australian wildcard Thanasi Kokkinakis next.
The 22-year-old American won against Andy Murray (7-6 (3), 6-3) in the previous round of the Adelaide 1 tournament.
Bautista Agut, ranked No 21, edged out Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 4 seed (4-6, 6-3, 6-4).
