Alert: Mensik upsets Fritz in Miami semi-finals
Jakub Mensik outlasted Taylor Fritz in a third-set tiebreak on Friday in Miami. Mensik will battle Novak Djokovic for the title.

Jakub Mensik edged out American Taylor Fritz, the No 3 seed, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-6 (4) to advance to the final of the Miami Open at Hard Rock Stadium on Friday night.
Mensik, ranked No 54, will face Serb Novak Djokovic, the No 4 seed, in Sunday’s final.
In the previous rounds of this Masters 1000 event, Mensik beat Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut (6-4, 3-6, 6-1), No 6 seed Jack Draper (7-6 (2), 7-6 (3)), Russian Roman Safiullin (6-4, 6-4), No 20 seed Tomas Machac (W/O) and Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 17 seed (7-6 (5), 6-1).
Fritz, ranked No 4, advanced to the last four by ousting Lorenzo Sonego (7-6 (2), 6-3), Canadian Denis Shapovalov, the No 27 seed (7-5, 6-3), Australian lucky loser Adam Walton (6-3, 7-5) and Italian Matteo Berrettini, the No 29 seed (7-5, 6-7 (7), 7-5).
