Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, won against French qualifier Terence Atmane 7-6 (4), 6-2 to advance to the final of the Cincinnati Masters at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Saturday.

Sinner, ranked No 1, will play the winner of the match between German Alexander Zverev, the No 3 seed, and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed, next.

The Italian beat Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 23 seed (6-0, 6-2), French qualifier Adrian Mannarino (6-4, 7-6 (4)), Canadian Gabriel Diallo, the No 30 seed (6-2, 7-6 (6)) and Colombian qualifier Daniel Elahi Galan (6-1, 6-1) ahead of his victory.

Earlier in the tournament, Atmane, ranked No 136, won against Dane Holger Rune, the No 7 seed (6-2, 6-3), American Taylor Fritz, the No 4 seed (3-6, 7-5, 6-3), Brazilian Joao Fonseca (6-3, 6-4), Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 15 seed (6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (5)) and Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka (6-2, 6-2)
