Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles moved into the last 8 of the Argentina Open by beating Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 4 seed, 6-1, 6-3 at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club on Thursday night.

Zapata Miralles, ranked No 74, will play Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 5 seed, next.

Ahead of his victory, the Spaniard edged out Pedro Martinez (6-1, 3-6, 6-4).
