ATP rankings after Wimbledon: Sinner extends gap, Shelton hits career high
Fonseca enters the world’s top 50 for the first time as well

The latest ATP rankings are out, with two weeks of action at Wimbledon causing a big reshuffle across the board. Jannik Sinner has extended his lead at the top of the rankings, swelling his points total beyond the 12,000 mark.
Here’s a look at the ATP top 10 as of Monday, July 14:
- Jannik Sinner (12030)
- Carlos Alcaraz (8600)
- Alexander Zverev (6310)
- Taylor Fritz (5035)
- Jack Draper (4650)
- Novak Djokovic (4130)
- Lorenzo Musetti (3350)
- Holger Rune (3340)
- Ben Shelton (3330)
- Andrey Rublev (3110)
Sinner now leads Carlos Alcaraz by a whopping 3,430 points–more than world No 7 Lorenzo Musetti has in total. Germany’s Alexander Zverev holds onto the No 3 place despite crashing out first round at Wimbledon, while Taylor Fritz and Jack Draper swap places in fourth and fifth, courtesy of their contrasting runs in London. Novak Djokovic remains world No 6 despite dropping points for not making the final.
Ben Shelton hits a career high of No 9 in the world, and is just 20 points off world No 7 as well. Andrey Rublev also returns to the top 10 for the first time since April.
Jarry, Cilic make big leaps, Fonseca cracks top 50
Former top-20 player Nicolas Jarry receives a nice boost to his ranking after making a run to the fourth round in Wimbledon. The Chilean jumps 47 places to No 96 in the world, returning to the top 100 after previously being ranked as high as No 16.
Veteran Marin Cilic also rockets up the rankings off the back of his round-of-16 showing in London, moving 18 spots to No 65 in the world. Above him in the rankings is teen Joao Fonseca, who hits a career high of No 48, making his top-50 debut after winning two matches at Wimbledon.
Flavio Cobolli also hits a milestone, entering the world’s top 20 for the first time with a career high of No 19. Other career highs include Alex Michelsen (30), Gabriel Diallo (38), Jaume Munar (51), Mattia Bellucci (63), Ethan Quinn (82) and Elmer Molle (102).
Others were less fortunate, with the likes of Daniil Medvedev dropping five places to crash out of the top 10. The former No 1 sits at No 14 in the world now. Tommy Paul takes a hit too, falling three spots to No 16. Ugo Humbert leaves the top 20 after his first-round loss, slipping to No 23 in the world.
