Frances Tiafoe defeated Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 7-6 (4) on Wednesday and will play Chinese wildcard Juncheng Shang in the next round

American Frances Tiafoe, the No 3 seed, won against Serb Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 7-6 (4) to reach the quarter-finals of the Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open on Wednesday.
Tiafoe, ranked No 16, will face Chinese wildcard Juncheng Shang next.
In the previous round, Kecmanovic, ranked No 54, defeated Japanese qualifier Taro Daniel (6-3, 6-2).
