Brisbane International : Collignon advances to last eight defeating Dimitrov

Belgian qualifier Raphael Collignon defeated Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov 7-6 (1), 6-3 to move into the quarter-finals of the Brisbane International presented by ANZ on Thursday night.
Collignon, ranked No 84, will face American Brandon Nakashima next. Ahead of his victory, the Belgian won against Canadian Denis Shapovalov, the No 5 seed (6-4, 6-2).
Dimitrov, ranked No 47, beat Spanish qualifier Pablo Carreno Busta (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round. His second win in two competitions since his pectoral injury at Wimbledon.
