Bublik books quarter-final berth in Chengdu Open
Alexander Bublik defeated Federico Agustin Gomez 6-4, 6-4 on Saturday and will play the winner of the match between Roman Safiullin and Juncheng Shang in the next round

Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the second seed, beat Argentinian qualifier Federico Agustin Gomez 6-4, 6-4 to move into the quarter-finals of the Chengdu Open at the Sichuan International Tennis Center on Saturday.
Bublik, ranked No 27, will play the winner of the match between Russian Roman Safiullin, the No 8 seed, and Chinese Juncheng Shang next.
Gomez, ranked No 174, won against Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-4, 7-5) in the previous round of the Chengdu tournament.
