Citi Open: Cressy sets up clash against top seed Rublev

Maxime Cressy beat Jack Sock 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 on Wednesday. He’ll play Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, for a place in the quarter-finals

No 13 seed Maxime Cressy defeated Jack Sock 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 to reach the last 16 of the Citi Open at Rock Creek Park Tennis Center in Washington on Wednesday.

Cressy, ranked No 32, will face Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, next.

In the previous round of the Citi Open, Washington D.C., Sock, ranked No 105, won against Belgian David Goffin (7-6 (4), 6-4).
