Italian Matteo Arnaldi, the No 8 seed, moved into the second round of the Dallas Open by winning against American qualifier Christopher Eubanks 6-3, 6-4 at the Ford Center at The Star on Monday evening.
Arnaldi, ranked No 39, will play Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina next.
