Estoril Open: Llamas Ruiz advances to last eight

Qualifier Pablo Llamas Ruiz won against lucky loser David Jorda Sanchis 7-6 (2), 6-4 to advance to the last 8 of the Estoril Open at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Thursday.

Llamas Ruiz, ranked No 152, will play Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the second seed, next.

In the previous round of the Estoril tournament, Pablo Llamas Ruiz defeated German Dominik Koepfer, the No 8 seed (6-4, 6-3).

Jorda Sanchis, ranked No 329, won against Portuguese qualifier Jaime Faria (7-6 (4), 6-1) in the previous round of the Estoril tournament.
