Houston Open: Nakashima books spot in last four

Fourth seed Brandon Nakashima won against Christopher Eubanks 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the semi-finals of the Houston Open at River Oaks Country Club on Friday.

Nakashima, ranked No 33, will face the winner of the match between No 5 seed Alex Michelsen and second seed Frances Tiafoe next.

Ahead of his win today, Nakashima defeated Mackenzie McDonald (6-1, 7-5).

Eubanks, ranked No 117, won against Australian Rinky Hijikata (6-2, 4-6, 6-3) and Japanese Kei Nishikori, the No 8 seed (6-1 ret.) in the previous rounds of the tournament.
