Houston Open: Tiafoe to face Nakashima in semi-finals

Second seed Frances Tiafoe won against No 5 seed and fellow American Alex Michelsen 7-5, 6-1 to move into the semi-finals of the Houston Open at River Oaks Country Club on Friday.
Tiafoe, ranked No 17, will face another countryman, No 4 seed Brandon Nakashima, next. Top seed Tommy Paul will face qualifier Jenson Brooksby in another all-American semi-final clash on Saturday.
Tiafoe beat Australian Adam Walton (7-5, 6-3) in the previous round of the tournament.
Earlier in the week, Michelsen, ranked No 34, defeated Learner Tien (6-4, 6-2) and French lucky loser Adrian Mannarino (6-7, 6-4, 6-2).
