Daniil Medvedev is known for his unorthodox game and shot making. You can now add unorthodox dance moves to his resume as well.

The Russian pulled out some of his dance moves on court right after beating Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Rome Masters on Saturday. While the dance has since gone viral with two videos featuring the dance on the TennisTV Instagram account garnering over 2.2 million views in less than 24 hours, Medvedev admitted that he thought the dance looked ridiculous once he watched it on TV himself.

“I don’t dance a lot after I win, but sometimes it happens. I was just really happy with the win. This dance, when I saw it, they showed me, I saw it on one TV like almost straight after. I was like, This looks ridiculous,” the Russian said.

Medvedev returns to the court on Sunday to play Denmark’s Holger Rune in the Rome Masters final but don’t expect him to break into some more movies.

“When I’m going to see it in a year or maybe in a month, I’m going to be like, That’s memories. That’s memories. That’s fun. I went into my first Masters final, so I was just feeling great. But, it doesn’t mean I’m going to dance after every match.”

Prior to watching the video, Medvedev likened the dance to being in a club completely drunk during his on-court interview right after the match.
