Miami Masters: Mensik books spot in last eight after Machac withdrawal

Jakub Mensik moved into the last eight of the Miami Masters after No 20 seed Tomas Machac withdrew due to illness before the match at the Hard Rock Stadium on Tuesday.
Mensik, ranked No 54, will play the winner of the match between German Alexander Zverev, the top seed, and Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 17 seed, next.
Jakub Mensik defeated Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut (6-4, 3-6, 6-1), No 6 seed Jack Draper (7-6 (2), 7-6 (3)) and Russian Roman Safiullin (6-4, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Miami Open.
Earlier in the tournament, Machac, ranked No 21, won against Italian Matteo Arnaldi (6-2, 1-6, 6-3) and American Reilly Opelka (7-6 (1), 6-3).
