Alexander Bublik is one of seven first-time ATP title winners in 2022, and the 25-year-old Kazakh is hoping to double title title on Sunday in Newport.

The No 3 seed advanced to the final of the Hall of Fame Open on Saturday by beating Australian Jason Kubler 6-3, 6-2 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Saturday evening.

Bublik, ranked No 42, will face No 4 seed Maxime Cressy for the title.

Bublik, who claimed the trophy on indoor hard courts at Montpellier earlier this season, reaches his sixth career final (1-4).

He was in control against Kubler from the start as he pounded 15 aces and lost just six points on serve over the course of the 69-minute match. Bublik broke the world No 102’s serve three times on ten opportunities to improve to 22-17 on the season and 9-2 lifetime at Newport.
