Rome Masters: Draper books spot in third round

Fifth seed Jack Draper moved into the third round of the Rome Masters after beating Italian Luciano Darderi 6-1, 6-4 at the Foro Italico on Friday.

Draper, ranked No 5, will play qualifier Vit Kopriva next.

“I think I started well,” Draper told Sky Sports. “But then I lost a bit of concentration and it became a dogfight.”

In the previous round of the Italian Open, Darderi, ranked No 46, defeated Chinese Yunchaokete Bu (7-6 (4), 6-3).
