Stuttgart Open: Struff upsets Paul to reach quarters, could face Tsitsipas next

German Jan-Lennard Struff won against American Tommy Paul, the No 5 seed, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5) to advance to the quarter-finals of the Stuttgart Open at Tennis Club Weissenhof on Thursday.
Struff, ranked No 24, will face the winner of the match between Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the top seed, and Frenchman Richard Gasquet next.
In the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament, the 33-year-old German beat Chinese Zhizhen Zhang (6-1, 6-4).
Paul, ranked No 16, defeated Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (6-3, 6-4) during the first round of the Stuttgart tournament.
