Australian Max Purcell beat Russian lucky loser Andrey Kuznetsov 6-4, 6-1 to advance to the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday evening.
Purcell, ranked No 47, will play the winner of the match between Jack Draper and Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the second seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Australian won against Italian Marco Cecchinato (6-4, 6-1).
