The line-up for the 2025 Hopman Cup has been released, with Donna Vekic among the players returning as holding champions Croatia attempt to defend their title from 2023.

The mixed gender international team event wasn’t held last year due to the Paris Olympics, but will return this summer between 16-20 July in Bari, Italy.

The tournament contains six teams, with each team comprised of one male and one female player. The nations involved and their respective teams are as follows:

Canada – Bianca Andreescu and Felix Auger-Aliassime
Croatia – Donna Vekic and Duje Ajdukovic
France – Chloe Paquet and Arthur Fils
Greece – Despina Papamichail and Stefanos Tsitsipas
Italy – Jasmine Paolini and Flavio Cobolli
Spain – Marina Bassols Ribera and Roberto Bautista Agut

The line-up was announced in a press conference from Rome, where the match schedule was also released.

“I feel like it’s important for every singles player to experience playing for their country, it creates a different sense of belonging and gives a different meaning to playing, when you make tennis a group sport,” Tsitsipas said of the event.

“Representing your country creates a special feeling and every time I play Hopman Cup this feeling intensifies.”

Vekic, meanwhile, is looking forward to defending Croatia’s crown.

“I’m really excited to be playing Hopman Cup again, I missed it last year, and I am really looking forward to representing Croatia again and having lots of fun,” she said.
