Cerundolo, Mensik and Cobolli join Laver Cup roster
This year’s edition will be held in San Francisco in September

Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo has been named to Team World for this year’s Laver Cup competition while Czech Jakub Mensik and Italy’s Flavio Cobolli have joined Team Europe’s roster.
The eighth edition of the Laver Cup will be held at the Chase Center, San Francisco from September 19–21, 2025.
Cerundolo joins Americans Taylor Fritz (world No 4), Ben Shelton (world No 6), Tommy Paul (world No14) and Frances Tiafoe (world No 17), as well as Brazilian Joao Fonseca (world No 44) in Team World which will be led by Captain Andre Agassi and Vice-Captain Pat Rafter.
Mensik and Cobolli will join Carlos Alcaraz (world No 2), Alexander Zverev (world No 3), Holger Rune (world No 11) and Casper Ruud (world No 12) in Team Europe under the captaincy of Yannick Noah and Vice-Captain Tim Henman.
This is the eighth edition of the Laver Cup with Europe having won the competition five times and Team World on two occasions.
“I am really looking forward to returning to the Laver Cup,” Cerundolo said in a statement released by the tournament. “Putting on the red shirt and stepping out to represent Team World at Chase Center is going to be a great honor. The atmosphere will be electric, and with our fans behind us, I believe we have what it takes to beat Team Europe this year.”
“I’ve heard so much about the Laver Cup – how intense and special the event is,” said Mensik. “Representing Europe with players like Carlos and Sascha is a dream come true for me, and I am truly honored to be part of the team.
“The Laver Cup is one of the most exciting events in our sport,” said Cobolli. “It was incredible to be part of it last year, and it was my goal to play this year. To be named to the team and compete for Team Europe will be really special, I cannot wait.”
