Alert: Alcaraz overcomes Sinner in five sets

Carlos Alcaraz reached the final of Roland-Garros by defeating Italian Jannik Sinner 2-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 on Friday afternoon.
Alcaraz, ranked No 3, will play the winner of the match between Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 7 seed, and German Alexander Zverev, the No 4 seed.
Alcaraz previously advanced with wins over J.J. Wolf (6-1, 6-2, 6-1), Dutch qualifier Jesper De Jong (6-3, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2), American Sebastian Korda, the No 27 seed (6-4, 7-6 (5), 6-3), Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 21 seed (6-3, 6-3, 6-1) and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 9 seed (6-3, 7-6 (3), 6-4).
Sinner advanced to the semis by beating American Christopher Eubanks (6-3, 6-3, 6-4), French wildcard Richard Gasquet (6-4, 6-2, 6-4), Russian Pavel Kotov (6-4, 6-4, 6-4), Frenchman Corentin Moutet (2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-1) and Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 10 seed (6-2, 6-4, 7-6 (3)).
