Casper Ruud has beaten Emil Ruusuvuori 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 as he continues to chase a first-ever Grand Slam quarter-final berth

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 8 seed, advanced to the third round of Roland-Garros by defeating Finn Emil Ruusuvuori 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in Paris on Thursday.
Ruud, ranked No 8, will face either 32nd seeded Lorenzo Sonego or Portuguese João Sousa in the third round.
Casper Ruud is through to the third round in Paris for the fourth year in a row. He will be looking to reach the last 16 for the first time in Paris and just the second time in his career. His best performance at a Major has been reaching the fourth round at the 2021 Australian Open.
