US Open: De Minaur survives Giron challenge
Alex De Minaur edged out Marcos Giron 6-3, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 on Tuesday evening. He’ll face Finnish qualifier Otto Virtanen in the next round

Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 10 seed, moved into the second round of the US Open by edging out American Marcos Giron 6-3, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 in New York on Tuesday evening.
De Minaur, ranked No 10, will play Finnish qualifier Otto Virtanen next.
