Wimbledon: Seven in a row on grass for Keys as Eastbourne champ beats Golubic

American Madison Keys, the No 25 seed, won against Swiss qualifier Viktorija Golubic 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the third round of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Friday.

Keys, ranked No 18, will face Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk next. The American has now won seven matches in a row on grass this year after winning in Eastbourne.

This is also the seventh time in nine main draw appearances at Wimbledon that Keys has reached the round of 32. Her best result here was a quarter-final finish in 2015.

In the previous round of The Championships, the American defeated wildcard Sonay Kartal (6-0, 6-3).

Golubic, ranked No 139, beat Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (6-3, 7-6 (4)) during the first round of The Championships.
