Brisbane Open: Bouzkova upsets Azarenka to reach quarters
The Czech will take on the winner of the match between Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, and Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 15 seed, in the next round

Marie Bouzkova won against Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the No 10 seed, 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Brisbane Open at the Queensland Tennis Centre on Thursday.
Bouzkova, ranked No 44, will play the winner of the match between Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, and Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 15 seed, next.
The Czech beat Australian wildcard Talia Gibson (7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-3) and Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 7 seed (7-6, 6-4) earlier in the week.
In the previous round of the tournament, Azarenka, ranked No 20, edged out Australian wildcard Maya Joint (6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-4).
