Cancun Tennis Open: Arango edges past Jones to reach final

Colombian Emiliana Arango moved into the final of the Cancun Tennis Open by edging out No 8 seed Francesca Jones 3-6, 6-1, 7-5.
Arango, ranked No 169, will face Canadian qualifier Carson Branstine next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Colombian defeated American qualifier Whitney Osuigwe (6-4, 6-4), Canadian Marina Stakusic, the No 4 seed (6-4, 7-6) and French lucky loser Selena Janicijevic (6-1, 7-5).
Jones, ranked No 146, won against Spaniard Aliona Bolsova (7-5, 6-4), American Sachia Vickery (6-3, 6-3) and Belarusian Iryna Shymanovich (6-1, 6-0) in the previous rounds.
