Canadian Carol Zhao advanced to the last 16 of the Chennai Open by winning against Australian qualifier Olivia Tjandramulia 6-1, 6-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
Zhao, ranked No 187, will play the winner of the match between qualifier Mariia Tkacheva and second seed Varvara Gracheva next.
