No 8 seed Ana Bogdan edged out Jaqueline Cristian 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 to move into the final of the Cluj-Napoca Open at the BTarena on Saturday afternoon.
Bogdan, ranked No 65, will face the winner of the match between qualifier Harriet Dart and Karolina Pliskova next.
Ahead of her victory, Ana Bogdan won against American Alycia Parks (7-5, 7-5), Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva (6-4, 6-4) and Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the top seed (3-6, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (5)).
Cristian, ranked No 81, beat Spanish lucky loser Marina Bassols Ribera (6-3, 6-2), Dane Clara Tauson (6-4, 6-0) and Latvian Anastasija Sevastova (6-3, 7-5) earlier in the tournament.
