Eastbourne Open: Yuan through to last 16 as Potapova retires
Yue Yuan benefited from the retirement of Potapova (6-3, 6-6) and will face the winner of the match between Kasatkina and Xinyu Wang in the next round

Chinese Yue Yuan reached the last 16 of the Eastbourne Open when Russian Anastasia Potapova retired at Devonshire Park Lawn Club.
Yuan, ranked No 38, led 6-3, 6-6 when Potapova, ranked No 39, pulled out on Monday evening at Devonshire Park Lawn Club.
The Chinese will play the winner of the match between Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 6 seed, and Chinese Xinyu Wang next.
