Grand Est Open: Errani sets up quarter-final clash with Pavlyuchenkova
Former French Open finalist Errani won against Anastasia Tikhonova 6-2, 7-5 on Thursday

Italian Sara Errani, the No 3 seed, defeated Russian qualifier Anastasia Tikhonova 6-2, 7-5 to advance to the last eight of the Grand Est Open at Tennis Club de Contrexéville in Contréxeville on Thursday evening.
Errani, ranked No 79, will face Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, the No 8 seed, next.
The 36-year-old Italian won against Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot (7-6 (5), 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Contréxeville tournament, Tikhonova, ranked No 246, won against Canadian Carol Zhao (6-3, 6-2).
