Hungarian Grand Prix: Trevisan books spot in quarter-finals

Martina Trevisan won against Kateryna Baindl 6-4, 7-5 on Wednesday and will play the winner of the match between Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 9 seed, and Greek qualifier Despina Papamichail in the next round

Italian Martina Trevisan, the second seed, won against Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Baindl 6-4, 7-5 to move into the last eight of the Hungarian Grand Prix at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Wednesday afternoon.

Trevisan, ranked No 26, will play the winner of the match between Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 9 seed, and Greek qualifier Despina Papamichail next.

In the previous round of the Hungarian Open, the Italian defeated Hungarian wildcard Natalia Szabanin (2-6, 6-2, 6-0). Baindl, ranked No 138, won against Hungarian wildcard Timea Babos (6-4, 6-3).
