Argentinian lucky loser Nadia Podoroska advanced to the third round of the Indian Wells by winning against American lucky loser Kayla Day 7-6 (3), 6-4 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday night.
Podoroska, ranked No 84, will face Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 28 seed, next.
The Argentinian beat American wildcard Ashlyn Krueger (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
