La Bisbal d’Emporda Open: Carle reaches final as Galfi retires

Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the No 6 seed, moved into the final of the La Bisbal d’Emporda Open when Hungarian Dalma Galfi retired at the Club Esportiu CT La Bisbal in La Bislab d’Emporda.
Carle, ranked No 98, led 6-1, 1-1 when Galfi, ranked No 148, pulled out at the Club Esportiu CT La Bisbal in La Bislab d’Emporda on Saturday.
The Argentinian will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Rebeka Masarova, the No 5 seed, and Serb Olga Danilovic next.
Maria Lourdes Carle defeated Sara Bejlek (6-1, 6-3), Andorran qualifier Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva (6-2, 1-6, 6-2) and Russian qualifier Oksana Selekhmeteva (6-4, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, the Hungarian won against German Ella Seidel (7-6, 6-3), Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera, the No 7 seed (1-0 ret.) and qualifier Zeynep Sonmez (6-1, 7-6 (4)).
