Spanish qualifier Cristina Bucsa advanced to the second round of the Lausanne Open by beating French wildcard Kristina Mladenovic 6-4, 7-6 (3) at Tennis Club du Stade-Lausanne on Tuesday.
Bucsa, ranked No 126, will play the winner of the match between American Danielle Collins, the top seed, and Swiss wildcard Simona Waltert next.
