Ukrainian Yulia Starodubtseva advanced to the last 16 of the Mexico Series Puerto Vallarta 125 by defeating Colombian Emiliana Arango 7-5, 6-1 on Tuesday.

Starodubtseva, ranked No 135, will face American Sachia Vickery next.
