Miami Open: Pegula through to third round as Lin Zhu retires injured

American Jessica Pegula, the No 5 seed, reached the third round of the Miami Open when Chinese Lin Zhu retired at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Pegula, ranked No 5, led 6-4, 4-1 when Zhu, ranked No 63, pulled out on Saturday evening at the Hard Rock Stadium.
The American will face the winner of the match between Canadian Leylah Fernandez, the No 31 seed, and Colombian qualifier Emiliana Arango next.
The Chinese won against Marie Bouzkova (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round of the Miami tournament.
