Romanian Mihaela Buzarnescu advanced to the second round of the Nordea Open by winning against Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto 6-4, 6-2 at Båstad Tennisstadion in Bastad on Tuesday night.
Buzarnescu, ranked No 127, will face the winner of the match between top seed Qinwen Zheng and Yue Yuan next.
