French wildcard Lois Boisson won against American lucky loser Alana Smith 6-4, 6-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Open BLS de Limoges on Thursday.
Boisson, ranked No 341, will face Spaniard Cristina Bucsa, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous round, the 20-year-old Frenchman defeated Kristina Mladenovic (6-2, 6-2).
Smith, ranked No 444, edged out Frenchwoman Alice Robbe (4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5)) in the previous round.
