Dane Clara Tauson won against Russian Varvara Gracheva 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the Open de Limoges at the Palais des Sports de Beaublanc on Thursday.
Tauson, ranked No 115, will face the winner of the match between Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 6 seed, and Frenchwoman Clara Burel next.
Ahead of her victory, the 19-year-old Dane beat Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic (7-5, 7-6 (3)) and Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 8 seed (7-6 (6), 6-4).
Gracheva, ranked No 95, won against Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 3 seed (3-6, 6-4, 6-2) and French wildcard Audrey Albie (6-0, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
