Osaka Open: Lamens makes semis

Dutch qualifier Suzan Lamens defeated Romanian qualifier Ana Bogdan 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the semi-finals of the Osaka Open at the Utsubo Tennis Center on Friday.
Lamens, ranked No 125, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 7 seed, and Dane Clara Tauson next.
The Dutchwoman won against Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the No 6 seed (6-1, 6-2) and Italian Lucia Bronzetti (6-3, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Osaka tournament, Bogdan, ranked No 111, won against Russian Veronika Kudermetova (6-2, 6-2) and No 4 seed Marie Bouzkova (6-0, 7-6 (5)).
