Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva defeated Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 5 seed, 6-3, 6-1 to move into the final of the Rouen Open at Palais des sports de Rouen on Saturday afternoon.

Andreeva, ranked No 166, will face the winner of the match between Romanian Jaqueline Cristian, the No 7 seed, and Swiss Viktorija Golubic, the No 9 seed, next.

Earlier in the tournament, the 19-year-old Russian won against Swiss Jil Teichmann (4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5)), Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin (6-3, 6-1) and No 4 seed Jodie Burrage (6-4, 6-2).

Cornet, ranked No 121, won against Jessika Ponchet (7-5, 3-6, 6-4), Hungarian Dalma Galfi (6-4, 6-3) and Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz (1-6, 6-4, 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Rouen tournament.
