Brazilian Laura Pigossi moved into the last 8 of the San Luis Potosi Open by edging out Chinese qualifier Xiaodi You 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 at the Club Deportivo Potosino.
Pigossi, ranked No 116, will face the winner of the match between Slovenian Tamara Zidansek and Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the second seed, next.
In the previous round of the San Luis Potosi tournament, the Brazilian won against Slovenian Dalila Jakupovic (7-5, 6-3).
