Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, the second seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Tiriac Foundation Trophy by beating Brazilian Laura Pigossi 6-3, 6-1 on Tuesday.
Begu, ranked No 41, will face the winner of the match between Romanian Irina Bara and Turk lucky loser Ipek Oz next.
