Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova won against Romanian wildcard Ilona Georgiana Ghioroaie 6-1, 6-3 to reach the last 16 of the Tiriac Foundation Trophy on Monday.
Tomova, ranked No 98, will play the winner of the match between Romanian qualifier Cristina Dinu and Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the No 6 seed, next.
