Badosa edges Raducanu to reach semi-finals in Washington
Paula Badosa edged out Emma Raducanu 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 on Friday evening and will play Caroline Dolehide in the next round

Spanish wildcard Paula Badosa edged out British wildcard Emma Raducanu 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 to advance to the semi-finals of the Washington Open at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center on Friday.
Badosa, ranked No 62, will face Caroline Dolehide next.
The Spaniard beat American Sofia Kenin (6-1, 7-6 (6)) and Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 3 seed (6-2 ret.) in the previous rounds of the Washington tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Raducanu, ranked No 89, edged out Belgian Elise Mertens, the No 8 seed (6-2, 3-6, 6-4) and won against American Peyton Stearns (7-6 (6), 6-2).
