Katie Swan moved into the semi-finals of the Chennai Open by beating Japanese qualifier Nao Hibino 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 on Friday evening.
Swan, ranked No 174, will face Pole Magda Linette, the No 3 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, Katie Swan won against Dutchwoman Arianne Hartono (6-1, 6-2) and Russian Anastasia Gasanova (7-6 (5), 6-2).
Hibino, ranked No 185, defeated Croat qualifier Jana Fett (6-0, 6-4) and Chinese Qiang Wang, the No 6 seed (6-2, 6-3) in the previous rounds.
