Wildcard Juan Manuel Cerundolo advanced to the quarter-finals of the Cordoba Open by winning against top seed Diego Schwartzman 7-6 (6), 6-1 at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Thursday night.
Cerundolo, ranked No 114, will play qualifier Hugo Dellien next.
Juan Manuel Cerundolo benefited from the abandonment of Spaniard Pablo Andujar (6-4, 1-0) in the previous round of the Cordoba tournament.
