Australian Open: Hurkacz survives huge scare against qualifier Mensik to make third round
Hubert Hurkacz won against Jakub Mensik 6-7 (9), 6-1, 5-7, 6-1, 6-3 on Thursday and will face Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 21 seed, in the next round

Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 9 seed, defeated qualifier Jakub Mensik 6-7 (9), 6-1, 5-7, 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the third round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park.
Hurkacz, ranked No 9, will play Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 21 seed, next.
The Pole won against Australian qualifier Omar Jasika (7-6 (4), 6-4, 6-2) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round, Mensik, ranked No 142, won against Canadian Denis Shapovalov (6-3, 7-5, 7-5).
